Post it note holder with pen

Who doesn't LOVE post-it notes?!?!!  Here is a sample post-it note holder I made with some old Stampin' Up! Designer Series paper and a pen from the $1 bin at Staples.  I definitely plan on doing some more of these in the future.  It was so simple to make and would make a nice addition to someones desk or purse.

Nugget candy wraps

What a great way to say thank you to your Stampin' Up! customers and show case the 2011-2012 In Colors AND the new It's a Wrap Occassions stamp set!!  Whew! 

I plan on making a few more so that each guest at my SAS this coming Friday can have more than one or two.  After all, not only are they adorable but they are tastey too!

Awareness

Here is an awareness card I made at MaryAnn's yesterday.  I can't remember the name of the stamp set, but it is Stampin' Up! and was breast cancer related.  I used all the stamps in the set!!!  A great way to showcase a stamp set on one card.  lol

Good friends making cards for soldiers

My awesome friend Janet from Life Full of Sunflowers came over today to craft.  We made several cards that will be sent to the soldiers overseas to fill up their "Hallmark" store.  What a great way to support our troops and do what you love at the same time!

Here is a sample of each of the cards we made.  I'll be posting my cards on here over the next couple of weeks with all the details so keep an eye out if there is one you'd like to copy.  Hopefully Janet will be able to do the same soon too.

Christmas pillow boxes

I am really loving this new Cricut cartridge.  Here are the Christmas pillow boxes I promised.  These of course can be made using a ton of different kinds of paper to suit your likes or needs.  This is Stampin' Up! designer paper from last year.  These are the perfect size for regular gift cards.

Gate Fold Christmas Ornament

Here is another gate fold Christmas card.  As you can see I was really into making these today.  This one has two "closures" (not sure what you'd call them). 

I really hope the girls at work love these cards as much as I enjoyed making them and they'll BUY, BUY, BUY.  :)

Gate Fold Christmas Tree

I was online most of the morning surfing for ideas for Christmas cards along with all kinds of other cards.  It gave me a lot of inspiration to begin working on Christmas cards.  One thing that happened to catch my eye was the gate fold card.  These are so simple to make and the gate fold adds a little something different than a regular fold card.  I don't know why I've never done these before.

Christmas in September?!

I figured I would start early on designing some Christmas cards.  A few girls at work have asked me to make them some sets again this year and although I love making cards I don't send many Christmas ones.  Anyway, here is one using a new Stampin' Up! stamp set, Beautiful Season.  I hand colored this one so it has an added special touch.  This is probably the one I'll send myself this year.

2011 Stampin' Up! Convention in Charlotte, NC

Here is the card and 3D project I made for the convention last weekend. The cards were gone in a matter of minutes. I still have a few matchbook notepads left over, but hopefully can use them for the Walk for Life this year.

Custom birthday invites and favors

A co-worker asked for invitations and party favors for a surprise birthday party for her mom. She was looking to stay fairly inexpensive so she tubbed the m&m's herself.  She choose the colors that coordinated with the paper goods she was using. Here are the invites and favors.

I used melon mambo for the ink, paper and ribbon (the ribbon is from an older catalog but can easily be changed out with something current) and the Elebration stamp from the new SU catalog.  I embossed paper with the perfect polka dots die. 

HSS Stars & Stripes Theme Challenge

I didn't think I'd be able to participate in the Hand Stamped Sentiments Stars & Stripes Theme Challenege since I don't have any patriotic stamp sets. :/ That sounds worse now that I've written it out. Well, it doesn't matter that I don't have patriotic stamp sets because I was able to design a nice card without one. Here is what I made for my entry in this weeks challenge.

I used Real Red and Night of Navy from Stampin' Up! along with Bold Blossom and So Happy for You stamp sets.

Get Well Card

I thought the colors for the Color Dare challenge this week were bright and cheery so I decided to make my card a get well card. I don't really make many of these so it seemed like a good idea. I used the Cheep Talk set for the flower and Teeny Tiny Wishes set for the sentiment.

Color Throwdown #147

Here are the colors for the Color Throwdown #147 this week.

I wasn't quite sure how this card would look since cherry cobbler and black are dark colors and blushing bride and sage shaddow are light colors. I tried to use each color kind of sparringly. This is what I came up with:

Stamping 411

I found this new blog challenge last week called Stamping 411 and figured I'd give it a shot. The colors are kind of dark so it was a little challenging, but I guess that was the point (lol). Especially since it's almost summer and most cards I do this time of year are bright. The colors for this challenge were:

I used my good friend Amy's favorite stamp set, Just Believe. I also used my Score Buddy to score the sides. Having just gotten my Score Buddy last week I'm still learning how to use it and all the fun things I can do with it. I hope you like this card.

Color Throwdown #146

I'm not sure why, but I struggled with the color challenge from the Color Throwdown this week. The colors are great, but I just couldn't get my creative juices flowing. Here are the colors:

So I'm sitting in my craft room about to give up when I remember this awesome technique that my friend Marynn showed me a couple weeks ago. It's so simple and easy to do, but the card just looks great. I ended up using almost the same colors MaryAnn did when she showed us this technique. I'm sure she doesn't mind me casing this card from her.

Happy Birthday

Here is a simple card I made for the ColorLab Color Challenge #45. The challenge this week was to use Melon Mambo (which is my favorite color), Daffodil Delight and Tempting Turquoise.

This card is very simple, but very pretty at the same time. I cased this from my upline Debbie who always makes very pretty cards.

Wedding Card

I made this card for the Color Dare #105 challenge and the HSS # 71 challenge. I'm a little late in uploading to blogger so I'm too late to enter the HSS challenge, but that's ok. This card turned out great with the colors from the Color Dare # 105 challenge which was to use Elegant Eggplant, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzaz and Sahara Sand. Hope you enjoy!

Wonderful Friend ~ PPC - CC#62

After creating my last card the idea for this one came to me very easy. I copied the layout from a shutter card I made not that long ago. I didn't want to make an entire shutter card, but I love the layout of the front of the card so I copied that. Picture Perfect Creations challenge this week had us using the following:

The stamp set I used for this card was to Have and to Hold and the sentiment came from All Holidays. I can easily see myself making more of these cards and even a full shutter card with this color combo. I hope you enjoy.

Paper Players Challenge #51

I happened to stumble across the Paper Players Challenge yesterday afternoon while I was browsing some blogs. Challenge #51 required we use the following colors:

I had a little trouble getting started on this challenge. The colors were great, but for some reason a card just wasn't coming to me when I tried last night. So tonight I figured I'd give it another shot and I'm so glad I did. The stamp sets I used are Whimsical Words and Silhoutte Sentiments which was a hostess set. Here's my card:
