Composition Book Cover

This is my first try at covering a composition book.  I really like the concept, but I'll have to play around with paper and where to layer, etc. I don't want to put too much on the outside that will get damaged, but I kinda think this one is a little plain.  Just can't figure out what else I want to put on it.

I'll be trying a Christmas planner next that I saw on eighteen25.   I hope they will sell for the holidays.

Halloween is coming

I don't usually do anything for Halloween, but I saw these m&m's and had to make these candy tubes.  They are white chocloate candy corn m&m's.  Not sure what they taste like, but they turned out pretty good.  Enjoy!
Here's a close up of the toppers.  Since I don't do a lot of Halloween I didn't have Stampin' Up! stamps to use.  These stamps are out of the $1 bin at Michael's craft store.

Good friends making cards for soldiers

My awesome friend Janet from Life Full of Sunflowers came over today to craft.  We made several cards that will be sent to the soldiers overseas to fill up their "Hallmark" store.  What a great way to support our troops and do what you love at the same time!

Here is a sample of each of the cards we made.  I'll be posting my cards on here over the next couple of weeks with all the details so keep an eye out if there is one you'd like to copy.  Hopefully Janet will be able to do the same soon too.

Custom birthday invites and favors

A co-worker asked for invitations and party favors for a surprise birthday party for her mom. She was looking to stay fairly inexpensive so she tubbed the m&m's herself.  She choose the colors that coordinated with the paper goods she was using. Here are the invites and favors.

(Just a sample of something custom.  Keep me in mind if you have a special occasion coming up.)

Michelle's graduation explosion box

So now that my niece, Michelle, has graduated I can finally display her explosion box. This box was the PERFECT size for a square necklace box to fit inside it. So her gift was not only the cute Hello Kitty necklace I bought her, but the decorated box which included several great quotes.

Here are the pics. Hope you enjoy.

Explosion Box

I've always wanted to try making an explosion box. This weekend I was able to find some fairly simple instructions and last night made this one:

The paper is not Stampin' Up! as I wanted to do a trial run without ruining my good paper. I am not sure what exactly to use the box for personally, but I've already had one person at work with some ideas. Guess I'll be placing a Stampin' Up! order very soon so I can get some pattern paper for the inside. I can't wait to see what a Stampin' Up! version will look like with all their wonderful colors and patterns. :)

PS - If anyone has suggestions on what can go inside or what they have put insde their explosion box, please share. I would love to hear what others have done.

Enjoy!

For my Gamecock friends

As promised, here are the Gamecock colors. Again the stamps are not a Stampin' Up! set, but the colors are. They are Basic Black and Cherry Cobbler.

Enjoy!

For my Clemson friends

Here is a card set for Clemson fans. I used a non-Stampin' Up! stamp set, but it's awesome anyway. The colors are from Stampin' Up! and are Tangerine Tango and Concord Crush. They went very well together for the Clemson theme.

PS

For my Gamecock fans: those cards are coming soon. Trying to pick the best "red" that Stampin' Up! has so they look as good as these.
