Color Throwdown #146

I'm not sure why, but I struggled with the color challenge from the Color Throwdown this week. The colors are great, but I just couldn't get my creative juices flowing. Here are the colors:

So I'm sitting in my craft room about to give up when I remember this awesome technique that my friend Marynn showed me a couple weeks ago. It's so simple and easy to do, but the card just looks great. I ended up using almost the same colors MaryAnn did when she showed us this technique. I'm sure she doesn't mind me casing this card from her.

Color Dare 104

Once I was able to get past the difficulty I was having with this color combination I really started to have fun with this card. I think that Circle Circus is one of my favorite Stampin' Up! sets. Once I started stamping these colors started to look like they belonged together. For the challenge I was to use Cajun Craze, Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy.

Pictures of a "purse" card set I made. The cards inside are almost identical to the design on the front. I'll be using these cards at a Stamp-a-Stack soon. Enjoy!

I used SU's 2010-2011 In Colors. Stamp sets are Circle Circus, Flight of the Butterfly and Teeny Tiny Wishes.
